At the risk of turning this into a Diana vs. Mary thread, but it's too bad Diana doesn't ever do an interview answering questions about the genesis of and production of the songs she recorded [[Supremes and solo). That would be an interesting interview and would be more compelling reading than that little sit down with her publicist prior to her most recent series of concert dates where she is asked what she wants her audience to get out of her shows [[her shocking answer?--have fun).

Diana always said she's never bothered about the past, she's only concerned with now and the future. That seems true today. Mary's always been nostalgic. Let her be nostalgic. Least we can hear from one of them how things were in the studio lol

I think Diana's interview with David Nathan in 1993 was as technical as we're going to get. Let her perform and enjoy her family and fans and Mary can just keep on keepin' on talkin' Supremes!

Diana Ross gave a very insightful interview for Q magazine in October 1987, "The Gospel according to Miss Ross" by Charles Shaar Murray. It was part of the promotion for Red Hot Rhythm and Blues, so it is very much about which music influenced her, but also about recording at Motown in the 1960s. I also liked the interview that Alicia Keys did with Ross for Interview [[February 2005). Part of the problem many interviews are always the same is because interviewers tend to ask always the same questions. In the case of Ross, they tend to be most interested in her Diva personality rather than the music she sings.

Has Diana Ross said anything publicly regarding the 50th Anniversary of the Supremes' "Where Did Our Love Go?"
