Andre Williams was still touring a few years ago as far away as the south of France. I left Montpellier to return to London a week before he was due to appear. I would have loved to have seen him.
Wasn't ANDRE WILLIAMS also the "Williams" who wrote and produced "Twine Time" for ALVIN CASH ....

Have you checked with BMI or ASCAP?
Andre Williams could set up a groove like nobody. Alvin Cash, the Five DuTones, and so many others. Mack Rice told me that when he wrote Mustang Sally, it was to a Hi Heel Sneaker groove. Andre produced the record and HE set it up as it appeared.
Bettye said some of the Detroit folks would have him come to a session just to count it off.

I love the Maxayne LPs, but that is Andre Lewis, not Andre Williams.
