Not a Cadillac fan, westgrand.........although they have improved their product tremendously in the past few years. Ford needs to take heed on this [[re. Lincoln cars).

You can imagine, to us over here, some of the US models can still look 'stretched' compared to most European cars - though I think they're smaller than before [[?)- or perhaps same size, just don't have all those extra fins which typified the American models decades ago.

Funnily enough, we were viewing some US vehicles lined up on the Pier Approach here on Sunday.

Is the Lincoln a good vehicle in the Ford range?

No. Ford needs to put some effort into a better Lincoln [[i.e. don't use a Ford underneath and call it a Lincoln). Cadillac learned that lesson [[don't put a Chevy or Buick underneath).
I remember being in Paris when I saw a Smart car on the sidewalk & 4 men came & removed it from the sidewalk!

I expect you mean they just lifted it between them, and walked.....!

There are quite a few Smart cars in use around our town. People like them because they can use street parking, but then park them at right angles. Fine around town for a touch of shopping, but I would not want to travel far in one!

The young couple living in the flat right next door on our landing had the use of a Smart Car last week, as a courtesy car, while their own was being repaired. We inspected it. They are both quite tall, but Kari [[male) is especially tall and very slim. [[I really must ask him just how his trousers rest exactly where they do, and why they don't fall down...) He said he didn't feel too safe in the Smart Car, so they now have another model, until their car is eventually fixed.

Kari and Arianna are both Scottish so, while I'm sat here at home on SDF, I have some semolina shortbreads baking in the oven right now, just to leave some outside their door, for when they return...

Well, I went to get my usual latte at the local coffee house this morning & they had just baked some shortbread! It was just ok; doesn't hold a candle to anything Fortnum & Mason makes!!!

At least they baked it at your local coffee house. Most coffee places here just buy it in.

Fortnum & Mason? I can tell you are a discerning shortbread consumer!

I can get just as stressed over having a lot of money as I can over having no money at all.

At least, with some money, I can pay someone to help me with my stress.

Acid indigestion would be the result. That's why I only drink water that's been passed by the management.

You know of course that this wonderful elixur can clear your sinuses up,one tiny little side effect...all those little nerve endings in the nose will be gone too,but hey who needs to smell and you can still breath out of your mouth...[the makers of this wonderful elixur are not responsible enough to be responsible for all and any side effects that may and most likely will occur]

It should be put on prescription for every single soul, marketed as 'The Last Thing You Do'...although there is an underlying element of suicide to the exercise...

West my man read the smallprint under the other small print, hooch ain't fatal it justsharpens your senses becuase it might take away afew ofthe ones you have which in turn will make you pay more attention to the ones you have left, for example it might burn out the left nostril but you still have one on the right,so drink up,you're more likely to get run over by a heard of elephant ants than die from this wonderful elixur.

    If I'm a corpse, I won't get any residuals.

I've been watching Esther Williams movies, and have learned a lot. She did a lot under water.
