I agree. I was reading the last post and the theme from "Burke's Law" came straight into my mind.

'Cagney & Lacey' is another one which does it for me...even though it was regularly re-recorded or remixed, but generally still no better than the original...

You make valid points, BUT........the king in my mind will ALWAYS be Sir Laurie Johnson with The Avengers!!!!!
    However, if I must:
    It Takes a Thief
    77 Sunset Strip
    Hawaiian Eye
    Man From U.N.C.L.E
    I am a fan of "Burke's Law"
    Want more?

"Hawaiian Eye" was around the same time as 77 Sunset Strip in the 60's.

You've elevated Laurie Johnson, Moe. While he's not a 'Sir' [[not yet..) he was indeed recently awarded Member of the British Empire [[MBE)

Another favourite of mine is Quincy Jones' theme for 'Ironside'.

Ok, thought he was a "Sir". Ironside not a favorite of mine. What about Rockford Files?

I can't remember the Rockford Files theme. I can't remember the themes from Laramie or from Wagon Train either, although I used to watch them regularly. I'll have to give them a listen on Youtube. I'm sure I'll recognise them as soon as I hear them.

Yes, I liked the Rockford Files, and the theme. James Garner was always very agreeable to watch.

I'd prefer to forget them if I could - that theme is really annoying....!

Prefer The Munsters and the theme - guitar[[s) are a tad jangly for me, but the brass section was good.

I like the "Addams Family" Theme because it used to be on an "Addams Family" pinball machine I used to play.

There used to be a sequence where the ball went into the Twilight Zone and did really weird things.

Whisper it quietly, as it is indeed a great track, but I've never liked Diana's vocal. Trying much too hard, and over-strident. Now, if Tammi Terrell could have had a crack at it, instead.....

I possibly have the world's worst voice, so I find a good test of the strength of a song is if I can sing it and keep in tune. "Going Down for the Third Time" is one I can't sing. On another thread, they mentioned "Life Beats". Now that's a song I fail utterly at, so I think Motown made the right decision not to release it as a single.

And if you want a hit, get 144man to do a demo. That will sort it.

Forget all that stuff about "would you buy a sandwich or this record?".....

    Before you hop it....

You could consider having your voice triple tracked, and perform 'The Frog Chorus'....
