We might be toad off.
We might be toad off.
Good point! We also may be swamped with work to do!!!
It's an ill wind....
Believe me, I'd need all the help I can get.
Lee Marvin got a big hit with a less than melodious voice....
So did Selma Diamond!!
A real Diamond in the rough...
Smoking took care of that!!
Odd how so many entertainers who rely on their voice, consistently threaten it with a vice....
Yes, how sad!!!!
And unfortunately Don Pardo died...............age 96.

Don't know too much about him, except that he had 'a voice'..but 96 is really good going.
I don't know if we got the US version of "Saturday Night Live". I've never heard of him.
Neither had I, so I Googled him......
And?? What did you find?
I flashed the Wikipedia page, and a few other headlines. A voice which was 'resonant' and 'magisterial' were two keywords.
What are your memories, Moe?
I remember Don Pardo as the voice of several game shows [[Price Is Right, Jeopardy) and then the voice of Saturday Night Live. If I am not mistaken he did just about every year of Saturday Night Live.
In the world of TV, so many come and go, but a few people come...and stay for a long time. Hopefully, there will be at least one worthy replacement.
He was one who did stay for a long time. I would have to see if any others had the longevity that Don Pardo did.
To see it, you'll need to reach at least 96 yourself....
I doubt it, westgrand. But I'll give it a fighting chance!!
Give your trolley a really good push, and see how far it rolls.....
As long as something doesn't make it brake, westgrand!!!
You mean Dead Mans Handle - ?
Something like that.
I'd rather run gently out of steam, than run into the buffers.
Now I reckon that you, Moe, will want to hit those buffers, full steam ahead......
I reckon we've all come off the rails one time or another.
I've certainly passed several red lights at speed, in my time.
It's well known you can be a demon on that tricycle.
I refuse to wear a cycling helmet. It's not a good look.
Do you need a helmet when you're using stabilisers? Definitely the wrong gear.
Yes. I can get quite angry when I'm using tranquilisers.
You know me very well, westgrand!!!
Anything which makes you happy, and gets you by. Then you find you need even more of it, simply to get by....!
That's about right..........
It sure is.....for all of us!
Again: yeah, no kidding!
Each year, birthdays, anniversaries and New Year's Eve have greater significance...we have more of them behind us, than ahead! Oh well, just the way it goes....
As the songs says: "That's just the way it is.........some things never change."
It's an easier ride, if we just keep that in mind. Still, we can always wish!
Speaking of 'easier rides' - are you into aerobatic displays? We have an annual summer air show in town for four days. Dont know if you've ever heard of he Red Arrows, but they put on a fantastic display, which attracts thousands along the seafront. They're circulating around the house now, with red, white and blue vapour trails....

How was the display? I would suppose this might be the equivalent of the Chicago Air Show.
I'm not into aircraft...but many are, and they turned out in droves. Four day event, yesterday was best, as the previous low clouds had disappeared. I'll let you know some details later, although I doubt we could ever rival the Chicago air show....now that sounds really big...?
Do-de-do-de...i keep seeing voices,i think i'm being followed..i'll just duck under thst question mark over there until the voices have passed..do-de-do-de.
Can somebody help me lift this full stop? There's some guy under it, who appears to be punctuated....
He looks a bit commatose.
Don't question my question mark.
We won't even mention your colon.....
My colon is clear............how's yours?
Bout time you got out of that shed, R&B!!!
I do my best work there, but those pesky feds snooping around, how can an artist work?
By drawing on your reserves?
Don't let him colour your thoughts.
