St Germain Jazz/Funk Attn Splank and Timmyfunk

I bought a Cd by St Germain, "Tourist" 10 years ago, misplaced it before I got the chance to play it!
I found it, along with one of Miles Davis last albums, Some of the tracks are brilliant.

My first thought when I listened to this was "Why don't I own this?" After some googling
I realised it's because with few exceptions, I generally don't listen to much House music
which is St Germain's specialty. That said, Land of is a really nice track and I even like the
way he fuses House with Jazz on other tracks on that release. He's French, I found. Wow...

I "found it in a box" I'd forgotten I'd bought it, anyway Land of gets repeated over and over. Its a funny track its got 3 phases to it, got some Afro funk with the JBs Gimme some bucks sample. Love the growling organ with sax solo in the beginning section I've listened to other stuff by them but like you said its a house style outfit. I also bought and lost Miles Davis' last studio album Doo Bop, that was lurking in the same box as St Germain. That's a belter too.
Here is the YOUtube link for the album only 6 tracks were finished before he died.
