I really enjoyed that. Back when things were still mostly wholesome.

They came from the streets. They came from the projects. They weren't living the Pop Life!"
Notice how Marvin kisses Gladys on the forehead at the very end of this video. There close, real friends. Not pretend ones for the media.

Put it on today where people can hear it and watch. They will tap their fingers, snap their fingers or flat out dance!

I totally agree JAI. This thread is also one my very favorites.
I remember this being the hot, new record at my parent's house party when it was released. It got played multiple times back then and everyone would jump on the floor to dance to it. Great record,...
You and me both! I love how he brought the tambourines out more and then overlaid them throughout the record. Sounds even more like a party record.
Great story Jerry. I have seen Gentrification occur in cities around Country. I agree it has it's pluses and minuses.
This one will make you dance in the rain. It reminds me of how my cousins and I would dance our brains out to this one in the basement way back in 1966!

Diane didn't help campaign for Rita in her first race either.

This was one of my favorite albums for many years all the way up into the mid -70s.
Wow! I didn't know the Supremes held concerts in Central
Park. They also sound amazing. Thank you for this.
She did. I had the original of all originals for that album in my hands before. The cardboard mock up that was sent to the printers . I found it inside Hitsville when I first volunteered there back...
You are most welcome Luke. Yes, I am surprised she missed that one and some others. She's done so much. I have "Idella's Soul Shack" on video.

I agree. They could have camouflaged Cindy in a way similar to what they did for Mary Wilson on the 1975 "The Supremes" album.
I agree regarding the length of the album's title.
In 2004 The Supremes did get at group stamp. It was Mary Wilson who spearheaded the entire project.
It is getting closer to being approved!
