Pun Love In My Lifetime - Diana Ross
As long as we're all punning around here I thought I'd share this satire of "Funny Girl" I did a couple years back. The idea came to me after reading a thread on one of the fake Supremes performing in supermarket parking lot. Someone mentioned the word slumming and I was off from there. I'm warped, I know it.;)
Slummy
Did you hear that
Slummy
Yeah, the guy said “Honey,
You're a slummy girl”
That's me, my singing just keeps them
In stitches doubled over in pain
And though I may be all wrong and telling lies
I'm good, good for a laugh
I guess when you’re slummy
Life is far from sunny
When the eggs are thrown
And the yokes on you
An imposter ought to have a sense of humor
That's one thing you really need for sure
When you're a slummy girl
A fellow said a slummy girl
Slummy, yes, I’m quite slummy
Slummy girl...
Okay, the pun stops here.
