There's a great episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond" where his wife is always late. On the one occasion Debra makes an effort to be on time, she gets her hair trapped in her hairdryer and Raymond leaves home without her.

As long as people update me, I don't mind too much if they're late, as long as they show up.
Past a certain number of minutes without word, I'll move on to something else.
In the meantime, I take the nearest seat, peacefully waiting, letting my blood pressure level drop, and feeling quite saintly and superior....;)
If you travel in London, you can never guarantee to be on time [except during the Olympics!].
Exactly! Or, Precisely!!
What about Wimbleton?
Moe, 40 years ago, I lived in Wimbledon, but never became aware of being in close proximity to the increased number of people, crowding into the tournament for that particular two weeks each summer.
But things are different now, 40 years on.....
I used to go to Wimbledon by underground on the first Tuesday or Thursday of the tournament during the 70s and 80s, and never had any problems with transport.
144man, here's hoping wherever you go today, whatever you do, that you will enjoy your birthday!
Have a great day!:)
R&B's hooch hasn't arrived, but I shall enjoy myself anyway. Thanks for your good wishes, wgb.
Yes, it's best to keep moving along, and not wait just for something to arrive. Nine times out of ten, you'll miss nothing!
144man, they say that the most common birthday of the year is October 4th. Many good wishes and good health & a great pint!!:D
If October 4th is the most common birthday, I guess 144man will either need to consider himself in good company - or opt for February 29......
One day is too short. I'm going to be greedy and celebrate my Birthday Week!
You should have said. We could have organised a festival, and witnessed you re-enacting your diferent ages, right up to the present time.
I had my second childhood years ago. Not sure which one I'm in now.
You've been around so long, you'll be in the public domain by now.....
That means anyone can use me in any way for any purpose. Can't wait!
It might be wise to keep a mask with you at all times.
The downside of being so old as to warrant being in the public domain, is to be not fully aware of what is going on.
Sorry, what did you say then?
The first thing that happens when you get old, is that you forget what you just said.
And I'll tell you another thing, you forget what you just said.......
As long as you don't forget what you just said, you'll be all right.
Ah yes, then that would make it all right. Whatever it was....
G'night wgb. Where do I live?
Wherever you're sitting. G'night, 144man......
.....with a pint, I hope....Keep on celebrating 144man! I shall try to spread cheer in the Emerald Isle and check in on you two if I can.
Sure and begorrah, make sure that you do that, moe - if you can!
Moe, if anyone points their shillelagh at you, run. Have a great time!
Moe will probably have them all on the run, from first sight of her painted face......
Hello everyone from Laois County, Ireland! I'm afraid my face would have to be green to fit in here, westgrand!
Hello Moe! You're in the most landlocked Irish county.
By 'green' , are you meaning unworldly, or lots of green, open spaces? There's reportedly about three times as many cattle as there are people in County Laois.....
Lots of green open spaces! Limited weather [[Sun/rain....repeat!) Beautiful!
And when you've seen enough of the views for one day, I'm sure you'll find a local hostelry which will offer you something else to lift your spirits......
Quite right, westgrand! I'm learning the basics of Irish Whiskey! I find the Irish quite hospitable.
In other words, you're having a good time....;)
I hope when you get back, moe, you still remember most of your holiday, and that no one posts embarrassing photos of you on Facebook.
She'd love it:)
You're probably right:)
It's gone very quiet, but maybe we'll soon find out.....
And so you shall!!! I see neither of you destroyed the thread! That's good because at least you both waited for me to get back!! Had a ball........weather was predictable [[i.e. sun/clouds/rain/sun, etc...........you get it). LOVED the people and Mrs. Brown's Boys became a hot topic among my new Irish friends.
And saw The Book of Kells, a true masterpiece!!!
