A Question For The Experts...

Is anyone familiar with the Tamla/Motown Japanese releases on vinyl? I'm asking specifically about the reissues of the early Tamla product:

Marvin - That Stubborn Kinda Fellow
Miracles - Fabulous Miracles
Marvelettes - Playboy and Marvelous

There may be others however what strikes me as odd is they all say "STEREO" on the label, however only the two Marvelettes albums are true stereo and sound FANTASTIC by the way. Marvin and The Miracles sound like the straight up mono masters, however they sound "brighter". Needless to say, they are wasted purchases if one is looking for stereo product. Can anyone shed any light?

I guess what I'm asking is, does anyone have any information on which issues are true stereo and which are not? It's clear these releases are only in mono in the States. Curious they'd be issued only in Japan.
