Hey All, I am so glad that Whitney is back. Praise the Lord. I think their name is "All Girls Band." (Or "Twelve Girls Band" -there are twelve of them touring) They've sold millions of their CD. I mean the audio clips of a few songs sounds great. I think the CD is an hour long - and there is video included in the CD package. I might get it. | ||

Im a bit confused--I read that Whitney and Natalie and Dionne were now touring toghether in Europe and or Asia and that the tour wasnt doing so well. Any info? | ||

I so hope that Whitney is on the road to recovery. As she along with the late Phylis Hyman were my favorite female voices for the longest it hurt to see Whitney take the turn that she did. Where the article mentions that the fans were waiting for her to show certain ranges, sing with certain vibratto's I still think Whitney knows that it's not there yet and so she stays away from certain areas as far as her singing right now. I also think that if her progress continues in cleaning herself up for an extended amount of time and with some vocal chord rest when possible she can eventually get close to her old form. That is at least what I am hoping and praying happens for her... | ||

They showed a very brief concert clip of Dionne, Whitney, and Natalie on the television show EXTRA last week. It was hard to tell if Whitney was in good vocal shape, but she did look nice. As far as her vocals go, I don't think all of the deterioration is due to the drugs. Its easy to forget that Whitney has been recording for twenty years, so there's bound to be some vocal changes. Even with all that she's been through, I thought she sounded pretty good on her last two albums JUST WHITNEY and ONE WISH. |
