The 40th annual convention of the International Association of Jazz Record Collectors will be held in Ann Arbor, July 31 - August 2, at the Crowne Plaza hotel.

Highlights include a series of presentations about various aspects of jazz/blues history, rare jazz films, a performance by the Donald Walden Quintet, a panel discussion about the Detroit jazz scene from 1950-2002, a presentation by Chris Albertson [author of "Bessie", one of the finest African American music biographies], a discographical forum, and much more music, etc.
