The unissued Philly Groove tracks cut by the above group were recently mentioned here by Bobby Eli.
Just thought I would mention that these will be released in the UK on a 17 track CD of the group's recordings to be issued by Grapevine in September.

Well, I look forward to this tremendously. Their vocals are exquisite. It will be good to have their material on CD. I know some young guys here in London, who are late teens, who want to start a soul band! I will recommend they listen to the 'Sons of Robin Stone' and use their great abilities as inspiration.

John - it was the DJ's in Hull that introduced me to them in the seventies. I have an awful lot of thanking to do, to these gentlemen who played this stuff all those years ago. Whether in the clubs or on the radio, the DJ's played an important role making me listen to Motown and the Philly sound. I had no idea what was going on 'til about 1973, then the penny dropped and off I went....It is a wonderful journey and I hope it never stops. In addition, I think the 'Sons of Robin Stone' should be back at the top of the forum - he he!
