I remember seeing a tape of an old show, "Showtime At The Apollo" at the Museum Of Broacast Communications here in Chicago years ago. This was a syndicated TV show that was produced in the mid-1950s. The host was Willie Bryant and was broadcast live from the Apollo. The tape I saw featured The Clovers, Dinah Washington, Big Joe Turner and a comedy skit with Nipsey Russell and Mantan Moreland. When I went back to inquire about it last week, the tape was no longer available. Has anybody else ever seen this show or at least seen any footage of it?
