I just saw in Goldmine Magazine that Martha Reeves & the Vandellas will be inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in Sharon, Pa.along with the Impressions, Isley Brothers, Danny & the Juniors and others this Sept. with a concert on both the 17th & 18th.Is this near Philly?

I believe that Sharon is closer to Pittsburgh.
We do have a Sharon Hill which is near to where I live but I seriously doubt if it is there!!

I wonder how that became the location for the Vocal Group Hall of Fame?It seems to me I must have read something about this before...how long has this organization been around ? Any info gang? Maybe connected to the PBS specials?

Most likely because the person who started the Vocal Group Hall of Fame is from the Pittburgh/Sharon area. Anybody can start a Hall of Fame. Maybe somebody should list all the music hall of fames around. Off the top I can think of four or five: Rock N Roll..., Rhythm & Blues, Country Music HOF, Vocal Group Hall of Fame and there's a rock hall of fame in San Francisco. I'm sure there are more. Coming are funk and rap hall of fames. And I believe Dayton has some type of hall of fame for all the Dayton recording artists.

The Marvelettes were inducted a few years back
and I believe that they all went, including

correction the marvelettes have not yet been inducted into the vocal group hall of fame, the Supreams were inductd in 1998. their website is
