Soulpuss,
I believe much of the older archives were lost when a problem arose wth the site's former server. ( Correct me if I'm wrong Lowell or David.)

How delightful!

We post away trying to make a contribution, and this is what we get.

Soulpuss, I suggest that if you want some reliable web information on black music, you should log onto the NASA website. They look up into the blackness, and they are failing at the moment.

Well Mikie. We haven't heard from you for some time. Welcome home.

Who woulda thought this cute little baby
mike
would grow up to enjoy a 10 year professional relationship with James Jamerson exchanging comments in the halls of Hitsville about a place called "De Land of De Funk"?

Larry,

That's my Dad. You have misused that picture. The lawyers will show up at your place in the morning.

By the way, when am I am going to get a chance to take you out to dinner, and pay you back for that fine dinner that we had?

Larry gave me a pen that writes in three colors.

I have not seen him since.

I miss Larry.

I guess that Larry's only contact in this form shows that those who have met me through the forum find me to be a drunken, mean spirited person with whom it is not worth maintaining a relationship.

Larry was good to me. I value him. He is totally hung up on becoming a bass player. He has time for the forum, but not time for the study of the likes of Gaston Brohan, the first double bass in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in 1940's.

I met Gaston Brohan when I was seven. My Dad introduced us. I have a friend who is married to a lady who was a very serious student of Brohan.

Their son is the first cello in the Detroit Symphony.

I could go on and on.

The forum cares only for sensationalism.

Poo!

Hi Mike

Just as well I know how to take you .

The archives are safe and well. However, we lost the ability to use the search function when we moved over. This just means you have to trawl through every thread manually.

Hi Soulpuss
I'm proud to say that you will be well rewarded in your laborious search.

In a five minute timespan I was easily able to find archives back to January 2002 (The site began on 4 October 2001). Use the "search site" function to the left of your screen.

Not ideal but I will speak to Lowell when I see him in May.

"archives recent" will give you all material from October 2002 to whenever.

Again, I'll ask about the whenever.

Thanks for the clarification David. Sorry if I mislead anyone.
