Would appreciate if anyone could provide some info about a Detroit singer named Rodriquez. Apparently he was the lad who did the original version of "Silver words" a song done by reggae/rocksteady vet Ken Boothe. Boothe's version came out in 1973.

Rodriguez still lives in Detroit and is still recording. He is very big in South America and Austraila. He did two records on RCA in the early 1970's as well as a single on Impact. The first record has been reissued in Austraila. He recently released a live CD and a studio CD (on Sony in South America). He is also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Hi Cornbread. Mike Theodore and I produced the Cold Fact album on Rodriguez back in the sixties. There are a few web sites on him. We discovered him. He used to work at a bar by the river called The Sewer many years ago. He is a very talented writer and singer.

Does anyone know if "Silver words" sung by Rodriquez was ever released ? If yes, what was the name he used on the release and the label and number ?
