I have an interview on mp3 where Mary tells the interviewer that the Supremes (MCS) are considering some television ventures including a variety-type show from 1975. Don't know if there is any connection. Scherrie did a radio interview a year or so ago where she says that that particular song was to be the debut single from the '75 LP, but was pulled and "He's My Man" was used instead. |

Motown test pressings were done at several facilities, (R.C.A. & Columbia come to mind). The artists were not signed to those labels at the time. The song in question was to be the first Scherrie, Mary & Cindy single (Mary Wilson speaks of it in her second book). It became an album track on 1975's The Supremes. It is found on the 2001 70's Supremes Anthology cd. Composers: Dennis Lambert & Brian Potter |

I know some people love that song but its never done it for me--I found it too frenetic and screechy. |

Intersting! One time in a record shop out in L.A. I saw one of Diana's RCA lps on the Capitol label. Sometimes that can happen because of record clubs, which used to be popular in magazine ads, and, I believe, both RCA & Capitol, as well as Columbia, had their own record clubs. I also remember seeing The Crystals Twist Uptown lp on one of those labels as part of the record club. Now, a test pressing of a single is a different story. Probably, as already stated above, it was a test pressing at RCA's plant. |
